I was sweeping through Roger today, and I came out to see 25+ guests practically dancing in the fountain in Downtown Toontown. I was like: O man! :bang: So I yelled, as sweetly as possible, for them to get out. That's when the parents decide to say something to their kids. I mean, who knows how many other kids peed in it, barfed, and did other stuff! not to mention the dirty coins. :sick1: On top of that, hello???? Can we say safety hazard???? So, they get out.

I go and grab a mop cuz they spread water everywhere! I come back and there are still some people in there that I had told to get out! I'm like: Please get out and put your shoes back on.

What a pain in the toosh! Anyone ever have something like that happen to them?

I understand that Disneyland is a place where you can let your stresses go for a day, and just enjoy yourself, but ignorance should not be put in place of stress.

I was telling people to get out of there today too!! But they yelled at me saying it was too hot, the lines were to long, and blah blah blah.

They didn't yell at me, however, I was pissed enough to have yelled right back at them!

yeah it's hot ... so go to DCA, and get on Grizzly River Rapids for a while ... don't climb in to a fountain that's most likely infested with human wastes!

I once saw a few kids playing in the fountain around King Triton's Carousel in DCA. Not exactly the nicest water fountain to be playing in either.

i would have called security if i'd seen that, lately i've not had the pateince, or the knack for getting people to do what they're supposed to do, like the other day i'm on my way out, and POTS is going through town square, and i see these poeple all standing on the wall on the train station exit, so i ask them to come down, and they don't even acknowlede my presance, so i say it agian, and they lokk at me lik wtf, the due is talking, why is that, granted i'm wearing my backpack, but i'm in my indy costume, with my nametag, visible, telling them to come down, all the way onto the ground, both feet on the ground, so i think i said something about hoping they fall, and try and sue us so i can testify that i told them to get down and they didn't. and i went up and told conductor1 that he had people up there, and he said f it, nothing was going to make them move, and i agreed, he then added that out walls need to be like that /\ at the top, so that they can't be climbed on. ridiculous. so yeah, i'm giving up on guests listening to me, and one of these days reall soon here, i'm going to have one removed for not listening.

Honestly, even you you don't speak english you can understand hand signals, for you to get down, or move, or dance, put your arms up, whatever ... damn, i'm getting pissed thinking about it, i'm going to go tear my car apart and find my indy hat, it's gone missing on me, that's the other thing that's bothersome, i can never find my hat, if i've lost this one i might go over the edge, especially since i had it in my car for two weeks, and i wear it to work once, and i can't find it ... i need to go i think

A couple months ago a boy who was about 9 or 10 was going around the Roger Rabbit fountain pulling disease infested coins out. His parents didn't say ANYTHING! I told my lead and she made him put them back. He probably didn't even wash his hands when he was done.

The other day at Knott's I saw a 6 year old kid running NAKED through the water that comes out of the bottom of that water tower by the gates. N-A-K-E-D. All the way NAKED. So, I went to the security guy who had his back to it, and he turned around just in time to see the parents putting a D-I-A-P-E-R on him! Then, kids just kept running through the water. I didnt let my kids go near it for days! It is supposed to be there to cool off, but guests need to use a little common sense.

you know, i was just thinking the other day "i need to go to Knotts, the first 'the toher park'" but um, if there are naked babies running around, w/o thier diapers, it'll be the old people, and then the teens, and then EVERYONE will be naked, EVERYWHERE, we're going to need to adjust to being less bashful about our gonads, and not to mention more careful to not put any eyes out(feel free to have this edited if i've taken it to for, but keep in mind it's entirely in jest, well up to the part about gonadspoking eyes out, i mean, i wear pants and long shorts for a reason)

Yeah the fountains in Toontown are bad. There are kids in it everyday and always kids stealing the money out too. There's really nothing that can be done about it, unless you have someone monitor the fountains cause you get one group out, leave and 5 min or less there are more in there.

Put lots of bleach or itching powder in the fountain.... Will get people out real quick.

Or for a less harmful way to do it, warm the water up to whatever temp the outside temp is (easy and economical way: use the sun, or use the water to cool something really hot before it hits there) makes it dumb to jump into it since you won't be refreshed.

Better yet, just post some of those purple signs that warn "reclaimed water" in use. Then add a hand-lettered sign that says, "This means sewage!"

O that's great! When will we be able to do that???? :D

How about not cleaning it and letting the waste pile up??? :p

You know even with all those suggestions people will still go in them. I once had a friend who worked trains and as he went past Small World he saw a lady filling up her baby bottle with the flume water. Any idiot can smell the chlorine in that (especially when it's just been added, makes your eyes water if you're anywhere near it)

why not make a big sign that says "This fountain contains dihydrogen monoxide, a chemical that is found in all cancers, this chemical is known to kill most people who inhale it so for your safty, stay out."

the funny thing is dihydrogen monoxide is water, and trust me there are people who are dumb enough to try to get it banned from their city's water supply

You watch Penn and Teller Bullshit don't you. I remember an episode where somebody had a petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide and people lined up to sign it.

LegoDan

you mean penn and teller did that? oh well, but somewhere there was a city that tried to ban it, they did not want styrofoam and water is a main ingredient.

but also a simple sign that says "do not bathe" will keep people out

actually the only time I've heard anything about that is at http://www.dhmo.org about 6 years ago... check it out, it's a very informative site, they even have pictures of neuclear waste contaminated with dihydrogen monoxide.

another interesting note is that in every single school violence incident dihydrogen monoxide was consumed within 12 hours of the time the event occured.

all this sewage talk reminds me of the time that the rest rooms on the top of alcatraz broke...well a few pipes broke and "stuff" began to flow out of the restrooms and down the hill...needless to say it was quite disgusting... though it was hilarious

I had a guest SIT in a drinking fountain once. SIT in the fountain basin where the water drains. He ran the water to cool off. I told him to get down so others could get a drink. His fat obese thigh rubbed against the mouth piece that the water comes out of.

In the Blastzone and Coke Soak fountain areas, people were allowed to frolic around as long as they wore shoes and were moderately covered.
I saw many but NAKED kids, bare chested toddler girls, bare chested chubby pre-teen boys with man boobs, and bare chested hairy fat men that were their with no kids.

Naked kids is a problem at Ariel's Grotto. Another problem is that kids will climb the fountains/statues, and it is the character attendant's job to get them dressed/off the statues. It's sad that we can't have any nice decorations because of the fear people will climb them.

Since when does any signage around the parks seem to do a lick of good?

When does signage ANYWHERE do any good?

Besides the erroneous inference that somehow wearing a swimsuit or shorts will reduce contamination, I often wonder what the stats are regarding pedophile numbers (the other reason kids shouldn't really run around in public naked - ok, "prudishness" is another reason but I refuse to acknowledge it). Are there REALLY that many pedophiles out there that a pre-pubescent girl can't run around topless? (When visiting Europe you'll see that girls often go swimming without a top - even up to the age where they would generally be considered "women"). In other countries such as in Europe and South America, jumping in a fountain to cool off is considered absolutely normal. The fountains at Disney really need more (nicely designed) visually-based signs indicating that the water is not for bathing in.

I think part of the problem is that if you sexualize something (i.e. by insisting you cover it up) a part of the human psyche picks up on it.

If you've ever checked out the Megan's Law website, you'll find that it has a quote from a pedophile stating that if you're in a place of temptation, it's gonna overwhelm you. Most of the pedophiles go for kids under 14. And pedophiles go where temptation is rampant. That means theme parks, beaches, parks, schools, playgrounds, etc.. They can sit and pretend to people watch, but in reality they're engaging in mental sex with the kids. And seeing kids with little or no clothing on in the summer anywhere, flocking in the water, is the icing on the cake for them. Better safe than sorry.

Where I live in an area of single family homes there are about 10 sex offenders living with in a mile of me. Go to the sites and check it out and you will see how many sex offenders really are out there.

We live in a society where kids must be taught not to be sexually promiscuous as there are predators on mIRC and chat rooms hunting for prey. We had one dude talk to Lauren who is a woman in her 20's but he thought was a teen. He went on about his anatomy and wanted to date her in real life. It was vulgar and making me wish I had a shot gun. He had already gotten one girl to fall in love with him. Total stranger and he was talking nasty and making a date.

THEY ARE OUT THERE, PERVERTS, PEDOPHILES AND DATE HUNTERS.

Statistically, the chances of a "random" encounter with a "random stranger" are extremely low...

Most of the time the offenders are people you trust and think you know well
Family and friends, that don't have a criminal record, because they have never been caught.

And the US has a very BROAD definition of sexual offender. It doesn't necesarily mean a person who raped or attacked or abused someone. Wasnt' there a group of football players that mooned the other team from inside thier bus and all got sexal offender status a few years back?

Exactly. There are about a zillion ways to get on the sex offender list, and not all of them are predatory ways. You can also get on that list for being caught soliciting a hooker. I'm not saying seeing a hooker isn't wrong... but it's not even on the same level as being a pedophile. Also in many states two minors found to have had sex, consentingly, with one another, can be charged with "Unlawful Sexual Intercourse," even if they are the same age. Granted this usually only happens when one set of parents find out, and flip out on the other kid and press charges. Now I'm not saying they probably shouldn't be having sex under 18... but if they're doing it with their peers, they really don't deserve to be on the sex offenders list for the rest of their lives... yet they often are.

That said... in ANY society, predators or not... kids should probably be taught not to be "promiscuous." These pre-pubescent girls in the tiny shorts shaking their bootays at webcams and exclaiming how hot they are... it's just plain wrong.

On the website, there will be a description of the crimes.
Found one of my patients and my high school friend's ex-husband listed:eek:
I always knew my friend's husband was trouble, though. One time I turned him in for hanging out at the hospital where I worked dressed up and with a stethoscope around his neck (he was trying to look like a Doctor) He sure ran out of there fast when he saw me. At the time I thought he was there to steal something, but after I saw him on the Megan's Law website, I wonder if he was there for something else.
