I was assigned to the beverage station at Rancho Del Zocalo. Duties include stocking cups, cold bottled beverages and kids small drinks and replacing soda containers when necessary.
I was putting up some of the kids drinks when I see a man looking through the shelves at me and he smiled, and said something about pulling on my fingers. I smiled back, and then he went on his way.

Just one more reason I am glad to be happily married.

That's a funny video. I wonder if that would keep that weird fast speaking girl on the Disney Channel quiet? You know the fast speaking freak when you stay at the Disney Resorts at WDW? You know who she is. She looks like she had 50 cups of coffee in 1 hour.

I like Stacey because she represents the over the top silliness that we don't expect from adults. Sort of the mantra of Disney I thought.

She is mostly like that on screen. And actually, she had calmed down over the years.

Every time we turn on the TV there she is! My husband hates her. "OMG not that woman again!"

We would leave it on that nearly the entire trip and never got tired of it. Re-watching it again after finding it, it's almost meditatively relaxing.. Gets my Zen thing going..

That is quite a different pace than the "Must Do" lady. LOL maybe someone thought it was too relaxing. I also miss turning on the tv to see old Disney clips and movies.

On the topic of SGT drinks...
Is it true? Is there hope that the "SGs filling up anything and everything at the soda machines" problem is soon to be solved? I just read on another website that Pop Century is going to be piloting microchipped cups in their food court, I'm assuming ones similar to those at the water parks.
If this is true, it will make those of us who actually pay for our drinks feel a lot happier about it...and it will make a lot of the Board X folks very unhappy, which is also good in a warped kind of way...

Yup...you're right. The website I originally saw the report on has edited it to say Sports instead.

I'm not sure about the exact technology involved, but basically the soda machine won't work unless the cup you are using has one of the chips in it, and the chips are programmed to only work for a set length of time, such as the length of your current stay in the case of the refillable cups.

At Disneyland with the plastic cups that the cokes and lemonade come in, the SG keep on claiming that they get the refills for free. NOPE! It is a health code violation. No food CM's can do refills. They can sell you a cup full and the SG can pour it in the container. I seriously get the small size and that fits me. To carry around a container is not worth it.

I think its because Six Flags Magic Mountain still does refills on their large souvenir cups (free refills all day, via a wristband given @ purchase). Guests think if one park does it, then all of them probably do.

Don't forget Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana where all drinks all day are free. :D:

Universal Orlando, Sea World Orlando, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay all have a similar thing. At least around here Disney is the odd one out for that kind of thing.

You know, this talk of mixing FastPass and bathrooms got me thinking of a new idea: The Bathroom Pass.
This would be for parents of small children. They get in line and, say, halfway to the attraction they see their child doing the "Gotta Go" dance. Normally, they have the choice of ether getting out of line now and getting to the restroom, or getting out of line a little later to deal with the results of not getting out of line earlier. However, with The Bathroom Pass, the parent flags down a CM and lets them know they need to use the potty. The CM issues a Bathroom Pass to the parent, allowing them to get out of line to go to the restroom. The pass gives the time the parent stepped out of line, and an approximation of how much longer they would have had to wait. When they return, they are placed in a separate line and, when the time on the Bathroom Pass comes around, they are allowed to board. However, the guest has to return directly to the attraction within a reasonable amount of time to wait their turn, unlike a FastPass which would allow them to go use other attractions.
I know, probably would cause more headaches than it solves, but at first glance it seems like a good idea...

Naw, if a parent takes their kid out of the queue for a restroom break and I know about it, I'll let 'em back in with no wait. I'm just happy they don't let the kid go in the bushes or the middle of the queue!

RFID in the bottom of the cups. RFID is now pennies per instance, and at checkout the cups are read and their numbers activated in a database for the proper time period.
