View Full Version : Stupid Explorer Tricks

So this week the National Law Enforcement Explorers Convention is here at GA Tech.
They seem to have a real problem with some basic concepts, such as the secure doors on my apartment complex. It has a buzzer that goes off after being open for more than 10 seconds to prevent people from propping them open. I hear that buzzer constantly up in my room on the 7th floor... Not only do they cause it to go off, but they continue to hold open the door.
And these are supposedly future cops?

It could take more than 10secs to bring in the grocerys. Even more for beer and pizza. :D:

I have a friend who had a 2005 Ford truck. The cruise control switch that had the recall. The truck caught fire and this person canned Ford big time. My friend now has a different truck from another company.
Ford Explorer-Gas hogs and are noisy:)

If it's not a Mac vs. PC war it's a Ford/Chevy/Dodge dust up.

FORD: Found On Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily, etc.
I used to own a '95 Ford Aerostar, drove that thing nearly into the ground.

Hahahaha, hadn't heard that one. I like it!
Also TurkeyHam, my Explorer isn't noisy...unless my hellions are in the car. Then it's like front-row seats at a death metal concert. Having had Toyota, Dodge, and VW cars in the past, this is the one I've been most happy with. The VW hated me and I hated it, so when it blew up on the side of I-40 (carbeque), I was pretty thrilled.

Well, I have to admit the name fits, there's no muscle in a Honda... but I sure love mine. She may be a little put-put car... but she's reliable.
*Eyeballs those Fix Or Repair Daily, cars.*

Fix It Again Tony
Yup...that one is one of my favorites...
That, and FORD....F&*^ed up Old Rebuilt Dodge. So, now that Dodge is owned by Fiat, does that mean Tony will be fixing Chrysler products, too??!!:D:
I'm a Honda guy myself...have had 15 in the family so far...I drive an '06 Civic...SWMBO drives a '09 Odysey.

My neighbors car is loud. Sounds like they added a motor boat engine to the car. Loud rummbling sounds. It might be the mufflers.

Sorry About The Unnecessary Rattling Noise
My wagon is brand new (2001), only 40k miles on it, and the back half rattles like no other. Gave up trying to figure out where its coming from. Been like that since it was driven off the lot.
If the wagon craps out, I'm gonna try and pick up an old Police Interceptor. The Saturn is awful easy to work on, but I've had a lot of issues already.

Freak- Where do you live? Take your car to a Toyota repair shop. If you are near Disneyland, there is a good toyota shop in Cypress. Off of Cypress and Moody. "The Toy Shop." Our friend Robert has had the shop there over 15 years. :)
