Thats about as dumb as bringing an icechest or your own fridge to save the $10 rental fee. With all the stuff I DO need to bring, theres no room in the van for a fridge. Just spend the few extra $$$ and save yourself the hassle. Yes, I am also new here and hoping to work for WDW in the future.

At $10.00/day that can add up pretty quick. :(

I watched a family check in to the Boardwalk with a mini frig, a microwave, a large pack of toilet paper those are just a few of the things I saw. I was surprised I didn't see a toilet or kitchen sink.

...The Marsupial Welcoming Committee is on their way and will be here exactly when they mean to be to welcome you properly....Well said. The ways and timing of marsupials are not always understood by others. (I was going to say that marsupials work in mysterious ways, but that's a bit too spiritual sounding.) (Although, cleanliness is next to marsupialness.)

I have used a number of the recipies from over on board x, and while the results are fantastic (made Liberty Tree Tavern flank steak on Sunday night!), they are much to involved to be created on a hot plate. And often much too fragrant as well, the Ohana Honey Coriander wings really stink up the house!

I almost always have a small ice chect in the trunk of my car, and an ice bucket, when I go to D/L I take bottled water and fill my ice chest at the place we are staying. I take a couple of water bottles with me in the morning, usually end up buying several more during the day though. I used to have a little coffee maker in there also, we would stay at the red roof inn on w Disney way (now motel 6) and they didnt have coffee makers in the room and da wife is mighty pissy in the morning until she gets her coffee. Now she usually does like 5 shots so this was just to get her moving in the morning so we could make it to one of the coffee places alive.

When we went to WDW I got a refillable mug and went down and got her coffee every morning before I tried to get her up.

At home she has two coffee mugs, one has Mickey on it all frazzelled like he just got up, and when she has that one you can talk to her. The other has Grumpy on it, when that ones out, you stay clear of her.

A little off topic...
Great America in Santa Clara used to cause gridlock around the park with their Fourth of July fireworks show. Cedar Fair bought Great America (now California's Great America) and they no longer have fireworks on the Fourth of July since the purchase. From what I heard, the CF management felt that they did not need to have the fireworks on the Fourth to fill the park, so they do shows on Memorial Day and Labor Day instead.

I worked at a company a block from Great America. We'd go to work the day after the 4th and find the parking lots completely covered with trash. It got so bad the police blocked access to all the side streets around the park.

WRONG!

I did google Knott's Berry Farm this morning. Yes, fire works are a go.

Another entertainment group bought out Cedar Fair a few years back.

Main Streeter, you were right. The last time I saw daily fireworks was about 10 years ago. I will get the correct name from Rob when I can. :)

Ok, I went back to see about the other owner.

Dec. 2009, Apollo Management would acquire Cedar fair units and the company would become a private underneath the management group . Apollo backed out of Cedar Fair April 6, 2010. Cedar Fair now runs Knott's.

I grew up going to Great America and yep - I remember it being crazy on 4th of July. Best experience I had there was when Microsoft rented the park out one night during the annual Game Developers Conference and we were able to ride with no crowds or craziness. It was awesome.

I hadnt thought of that, might have to get her one. of course she will probably kill me for it. I told her I was getting her a thing called "Go Girl" and I'm not talking about the drink, do an internet search and you will see what it is. She told me if I did I would die.

So not true. I carry one backpack (the one with the camcorder - we have an old, ancient one, the digital camera, and all the rest of the junk) and hubby carries a second backpack that gets LIGHTER as the day wears on - it has water and snacks for the kiddies in it. I'm a good wife. :D:
