Hmm... I know I put it on the Calendar, and I thought I had put a thread out about our invasion, but I guess I didn't.

So, here it is, all the info we have at this time. We are going to be making requests in regards to some help doing stuff, but I am pretty sure someone will find what we want to do fun.

Our plan is very loose at this point, very basic. As we get closer to the travel time, I'll be updating this page.

Wednesday, September 9:

We'll arrive at San Diego roughly at noon, and take the Pacific Surfliner up to Anaheim. We plan to take the 3:00 PM Northbound Surfliner, so if anyone wants to ride along, let me know! We'll arrive in Anaheim at 4:57 PM. From there, we will check in to our hotel and head over to Disneyland for a quick bite to eat and a couple E-Ticket attractions... and of course a Monorail ride.

As far as our plans for Saturday, well, they are Top Secret for now. A couple of the things you might guess that we're going to do, but I can guarantee at least one that you wouldn't. So don't ask yet.

Thursday, September 10:

Disneyland park and dinner at PCH Grill.

Friday: September 11:

California Adventure

Saturday, September 12:

Top Secret

Sunday, September 13:

Walking in Walt's Footsteps Tour

Monday, September 14:

This is a day where we need help, and someone who wants to take a day and have fun with us. This is our Offsite Disney Day. We would like to see the Burbank Studios, Company D and likewise, and I want to see Walt's grave. We would also like to take a lunch at In 'N Out Burger.

September 15:

Travel Day

It seems so quick. My hope is that we will be able to do this again at a future date not too distant in the future.

I could help with some of this. Monday is generally my day off, the issue I would have is that I would have my little one with me and I don't think she can go to the studios, but depending on how long you want to be at the studios, I could always drive you guys there, you could wander and I"ll find something to entertain the little one with in the area. I also may be able to get you guys a tour guide for the studios, I have a friend who works there.

At some point earlier in the trip, we should be able to meet up, even if it's while I'm working.

Ah, Walt's grave. Hidden behind some shrubbery at the Forest Lawn in Glendale. It's very unassuming, really. Just make sure you don't get in trouble as it does have a little gate which I'm sure is supposed to make it private.

But I went in and said my happy thoughts to him.

It's to the left of The Great Mausoleum. You'll have to look because it really is difficult to find and the staff won't tell you where it is.

Hope you have fun.

The weather will be nice. No rain forcasted yet. We are headed for another heatwave. It makes WDW look more humid.

Ride closures:

Casey Jr Train Now 10/3
Haunted Mansion 9/10 9/26
Mark Twain Riverboat 9/8 9/11
Main street Opera Now 12/17
House
Space Mountain 9/8 9/25
Storybook Canal Now 11/20
Boats

DCA Closures:

Orange Stinger Now 4/29/10
Paridise Pier Now 10/20/09
The Vineyard Now 10/4

As usual the HM goes down for 2 1/2 weeks to covert over for Halloween time.
The park has been fairly slow. Yesterday BTRR had a line of 2 minutes for most of the day and went up to 5 minutes around 5 pm.
If you catch Fantasmic! It will be on the weekends. The new dragon is working and is worth seeing.
Cast Discounts are still not allowed on the Outdoor Vending/Outdoor foods carts. They might have the registers, but it was not programed for discounts of any passes.
Fireworks: If they have them will be usually Friday and Saturday. I remember not seeing them on Sunday. I don't know their reason.
I am not sure about the parade times.
The corndogs are good, the turkey legs are somewhat salty, cream cheese filled pretzels are good, DCA has good food. If you get to the Paridse Peir, there is a resturant called Ariel's Grotto Restaurant. On the back side is a bar with really good side orders and alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.

I think some of your info is wrong. I understand that they aren't doing the overlay this year at the Mansion because of the 40th anniversary which starts right in the middle of the dates you posted. Though I just checked DL's site and Mouse Planet and both are showing the Mansion closing down. I'm hoping that's a mistake.

Should be able to head into the parks and sign people in. I did both while on maternity leave, so unless that's different for some reason. I'd be careful about going into the parks and doing things against whatever restrictions it is that are keeping her out of work though. For example, if it's that she just can't be very active, or walk long distances or whatever, then only go for a couple of hours and/or rent a wheelchair and use it.

She can come in to park & sign in, however, if she is seen walking & all - there will be questions asked by RTW & her Foods managers. CB, MLOA has many facets. Err on the side of caution - Always! You love her - don't take chances with her health nor job. MHO.

Be very careful & think purpura's park vist over. She's off due to a hysterectomy. This is MAJOR surgery! main streeter couldn't be more correct on this issue...i don't know how purpura would be able to even enjoy being in the park...even in a wheelchair...i know how i felt a week afterward...and i didn't feel like going ANYWHERE...i think it was a good 6-8 weeks before we went to the park...could have been a bit longer...at this stage even standing up straight can be a trick...

be very careful of your wife's condition...she needs a chance to heal...and wouldn't it look odd for her to be in the park after just having had major surgery?

I think I see what happened. You two misinterpreted the word ride. By that, I meant a ride to the parks, not going on rides. We don't currently have transportation. Never was it our intention to go into the parks at all, or if so, for no more than long enough to meet the Florida CMs for dinner. We're both well aware of Purpura's limits at this point.

Purp could bleed out. You are her protector! Never mind my advise - reread Elena's post. Take it to heart. She went through this surgury in 02. Purp shouldn't even want to ride in a car. Geez, how painfull! Excuse me, but why am I even trying to protect purp's health & job? You'll do as you want. sigh

I knew you would like them :D:. I'm just so sad that I'm not able to be there with them :( (a last minute trip was in the works, but had to be scrubbed because I'm being redeployed to Epcot for F&W and it would have conflicted with OJT)...

But it's great to see that they're enjoying themselves, and our quite the hit among people back home. Though I certainly can't wait for them to get back to Florida so I can hear everything and see all the photos :D:.

Later Ernie met us on Main Steet & invited all 3 as his guests to the 9.11 Flag Retreat Ceremony. This will be beyond awesome! Ernie has planned a special Retiring of The Colors with a solomn moment of quiet. An Honor Guard will be present for the 9.11 ceremony. In a way, though, I got to experience my own version, since we had MK's Dapper Dans (er, I mean the "Humdingers") on our show last night. I missed the flag retreat. I came home early from work. I did watch the news and saw the old 9-11 video footage. There on the History Channel they did 3 programs on 9-11. 102 Minutes That Changed the World, Witness to 9/11, and Hotel Ground Zero. It was good. If you missed any of the shows, it reaped again at 11 pm and lasted until 2:30 am. There was a Marriott between the 2 World Trade buildings and they had footage on what happened during and after the collapse of the buildings. A handful survived 9-11 in the hotel.

Marsupial, Tall Guy & I saw 2230 F! again last night. Was absolutely amazing! We tried for 2100 but no sitting spots available. We ambled (Shorty's fav word) FL. Most attractions were 101 by this time so watched band at TLT. They saw our DL stage lowered when band was done. Another "Wow, how cool is that" DL moment the guys really liked. Headed to F! with healthy frozen apple juice - Thanks Shorty :) where we found great center sitting. Viewed fireworks from the back which was unique. Sound track was very good back there. We sat down & managed to get comfortable on bricks when BW heard a familiar shout out. Right in back of me was Turkeyham's sister Mo. What a fun person Mo is!! Mo does Rock! She made us laugh so much we forgot how hard bricks were. Saw a few CMs I knew then F! Roared up in spectacular show fashion. We heard amazing singing during F!. Much like surround sound. Was F! music & Mo singing every word perfectly. Our direct center view was great - just what we had wanted. BW was so interested in DL's F! lighting. They seemed an Attraction to him. ;) F! dragon did his amazing show to cheers from all. He is brilliant & was deff worth the wait. BW & Shorty were very pleased. We had a blast at the Original. I'll let BW or hhsrat post a full trip report as I'm no good at writing that kind of thing. I am working on getting the pictures I took sorted and into an online gallery so I can share them. I took a LOT of photos so that may take a while.

Well, that was interesting. Haven't we already seen the Bubble Ladies' pictures posted here? Maybe you could wave a magic wand and turn them back into real people with faces?? Would that be okay with the Bubble Ladies?

P.S. Shorty - you look nice in that shirt and tie (from what I could see of you). You clean up pretty good! :-)

And for all of you native Californians.....we were in Hollywood at like 5 pm, I was totally comfortable and they were all freaking out, I was half way tempted to make them stay until some really interesting people showed up, like at around oh, 2 or 3 am after all the bars and clubs close. :)

 Thanks for not doing that! You might be used to that sort of thing but I'm not, I ain't a city boy. I was raised in a small town.
