I just heard on the news that DL has raised it's adult ticket price to $49.75. I guess they still don't want to break $50, but this is damn close.
Reminds me of the line from Jurassic Park... "Maybe we can have a... coupon day."

It's that time of year. WDW just upped prices by $2.75 for a one-day, one-park pass. Makes it about $58 with tax.
Must be planning to give Michael a raise to compensate for his loss of the chairmanship.
Then again, maybe it's to pay for all the increases we part-timers are going to get now that we're unionized. I'm getting a $1.11/hour raise!

Yup, ours went up today. But we didn't hike them back in Jan when Universal and Sea World did, so we were cheaper than they were for almost 3 months.
I can't wait to see what my raise is going to be, I'm excited :)

See, now here's the fun part-AP prices went up too! So, if an AP wants to upgrade from So Cal to a deluxe, or from a deluxe to a premium, they pay in the difference...the NEW difference. So you're not going up from $105 to $165, or from $165 to $225. No, you're going from $105 to $179, and from $165 to $279!!!!! You can imagine how well this has gone over with our darling passholes. And just when they were calming down form the SAP changes.... :bang:

Hey, just as long as we can piss off the passholes even more that's fine. I just use the new Guest Service Guideline
8. Seek revenge on guests that piss you off. . .

Actually, now in room reservations we can add all the passes to the reservations, so more people are seem to be buying them, considering before we could only add the most expensive one. :(

They should also be raising the AP price too. Even though I was a nice AP before I hired in, I think the AP program should be removed. Yes it does bring money in which is Disney's bottom line (or Michael's pockets), but I hate those passholes that think they can go around tattling on cast members who are doing something that even though is safe, but is from the norm. Maybe we should be able to deny APs like we do with the new GAC system!

That would be cool. In order to get an AP you have to have the written authorization of 5 CMs and go through a selection comittee. Then when you go to renew the AP you have to go through the same thing.

A literay test is good.
So would a:
Time Telling Test
A Common Sense Test
A Saftey Test
An IQ Test
A Math Test
And for those over the age of 21, make sure they have a high school diploma...

^ Math sucks. Leave that out.

Yeah, the only math guests need is the ability to count the number in their party. I am so sick of families who don't know how many they are.

And then of course it's great when the guest tells you one number and it ends up being something completly different. I have worked Maliboomer sooo many times when a guest tells you they have- say 8, and so I assign them two rows, and then you turn around and all 3 of them are in the slots and it's like "where's the rest of your party?" and they're like "oh, sorry." I guess they are going around all day with 8 and forget that the other 5 were too scared to ride. What's even worse is when you have a group which turns-out to be much larger than they initially told you and then they complain that they have to wait the extra two minutes because they couldn't count in the first place... ergh!

Speaking of price increases...
Parking has followed. As of thursday:
Autos/Motorcycles/Regular Vehicles: $9
RVs/Oversized vehicles: $11
Semi trucks with trailers/busses/etc: $16
Talk about random prices. I guess not any weirder then the $7 it use to be 2 years ago.
