Well, it finally happened.

I knew the day would come.

We heard a radio call yesterday asking for security to come out to the picnic area lockers. Two children had climbed inside one of the super-jumbo lockers and gotten themselves locked in.

So for all you bag check CMs out there who have to argue with the jerks who say "My ______ doesn't FIT in the lockers!", you may now respond with "Sir, the lockers fit 2 children, they will fit your _______."

They do, but you responsible for going and taking them for a walk and providing food. You might want bring their shot record just in case. If they have a favorite blanket, bring that as well.

Normally, bag check is done by ticket takers, but if they are short of people, they pull us out of our booths to do that, or they have us stamp hands at the exit gate.

Bag Check blows chunks.

Give me my nice, air conditioned booth or air conditioned building any day...

Although, taking tickets itself doesn't seem so bad.. (at least, not in the WINTER... )

But then again, I don't have to worry about that any time soon-- I'm on medical leave for the next 6 weeks so that I can have knee surgery.

That's crazy. Bag check (IMHO) should be done by trained security personal who know what they are looking for and are trained to "read" people for suspicious behavior.

most of the people at dl doing security check in have been doing it for several years (i recognize them)...they're checking for glass bottles, knives and other dangerous weapons...they do the same exact check that the security personnel in wdw did...security personnel are standing right there if there's a problem
