So today during my lunch I went to the McDonalds at DTD. I ordered my food and recieved my cup. At once I reallized that there was something amiss. See if you can.

But it gets better. This was on the back.

Now before you wonder how such an over site could happen, While two or three other CMs were talking about it, Two guys in suits came in, said something to the shift manager and he went about removing everyone of the cups that were still on the rack.:D:

What, because the McDonalds was on Disney Property? Aren't they considered a third party?

I wouldn't have thought it was that big of deal, but I love the fact that they sent over some sort of Disney Feds to take care of the issue. I hope they wore dark sunglasses and had headsets in their ears. That's how I'm going to imagine it anyway.

In fact... Disney probably has a whole army of MiB-type people, who tell you that if you report an incident, they'll never see their family again. I'd like to think so at least.

Although Men In Black is Universal, so I could be wrong. :-)

As far as I know, The were upper level managers from DTD. I reconized on of them from one of those "who's head of what department" posters.

Also makes you wonder if Universal Studios had the same sort of problem!

Theme Park Where

Not so much. We don't get so much Disney avertising on Universal property (except the guests with Mickey ears, etc.) because Disney doesn't do as much of that type of advertising as we do. My Dad was picking on me last year on the Disney Cruise. We were on Castaway Cay and he went to get me a diet coke. He came back laughing. The Coke can had a coupon for $5 off my Halloween Horror Nights ticket at Universal! The cans on the ship were the generic kind, so I imagine they were more careful to get non-advertising cans, but the ones on the island were all just regular store-bought HHN ads.

No, wait: MIC (Men in Costume), which could of course be followed by the K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E! (Key Enchantment Yeomen, Monitoring Other Uses of Service Equipment?)

I've heard reference to the "Mouse Mafia" in the past. Have others heard this? is it the MiB types?

Hmmm, I would think so!!

But I don't like to use the term "Nazi's" because they don't kill people of an ethnic or religious background. Not trying to get on a soapbox, but I think it detracts from the horror of genocide when used this way.

Ummm, "Disney mouthpiece"?

I do like the "MIE" (Men In Ears) idea!!

Well, they'd be like the Secret Service...

So the Secret Ears? Secret Mice? Secret S-EAR-vice? Secret Mickey Service? (OK, that last one just sounds dirty...)

Or perhaps instead of a SEAL team, they have a EAR team? MOUSE team?

OK, it's late and I really need to go to bed...

They'd be better off sending a lawyer.

From True Grit.

“And I will take it up with my lawyer. And he will make money and I will make money and your lawyer will make money... and you, Mr. Soft Drink Dispenser, you will foot the bill."

For some reason, Mr. Syndrome always refers to them as Men In Mouse Suits, as in "The Men in Mouse Suits should drag that SG over there offstage and beat the crap out of him."

Am I the only one who noticed that in the drawing on the cup, Bart and Lisa are standing up, in front of the lap bar, and Maggie is lap-sitting? Universal is encouraging unsafe riding!

How are we doing? Apparently not so well!

Ok, I can relate to that. My friends work at Outdoor Vending. There was one day my friend noticed that the tops for the lemonade slushes had a big time error. On the tops, it is usually purple with two holes for the annoying straws. One day she noticed that it read Magic Mountain.

When I was in high school I worked at this place called Del Taco in Seal Beach. When I was there, I was learning how to take orders on the intercom. Our favorite message to the police department was: "Welcome to Del Taco, may we burn and loose your order." Yup, our crew was that bad.

In a related story, in DLR Food & Beverage (at least some areas), we have pulled our whole supply of Whole Milks from sale after someone discovered we had gotten a whole big shipment that advertised Six Flags on the side
