So, I was in the park today and I overheard two SGs.
One was at Ariel's Grotto just wandering around. Apparently the mother called "Ariel", "Belle". She said, "That's Beaut..... Belle from 'Beauty And The Beast."
Another time, I don't remember where, but a guest mistakenly call, "DCA", "Adventure City" Hahaha!!!

Can't understand how someone could really mistake Ariel for Belle, but I do know that being a Mom does cause intermittent brain cramping!:p:
(caused by kid's antics....)

Being a father means I get walletectomies all the time.

I've heard Pluto get called Goofy to many times to count. Yeah they're both dogs but Pluto is yellow and only wears a collar while Goofy is black, wears clothes, and has big buck teeth.

Or vice versa, they are both "dogs"

I was one the Disneyland Train (for the first time! i finally did it!) and when we reached Toon Town, the driver said "Here's uh, Toon Town, home to all the characters of Disneyland, like Goofy... and Donald Duck, and rides like... Mickey Mouse's... Car Spin..."
I can only hope that he was a temp. Don't the train people have scripts?

We were in SF last weekend and had lunch at one of the seafood places on the warf, a lady in the booth behind us was telling the others at the table that Disneyland had been closed for refurbishment for some time now. I feel so special since I was there just two weekends before that and they opened the park just for me.

I think at least once a day in the ticket booth I would hear guests call DCA either "that Adventure Land" or "that California Park" or "that California land." Actually they would say, "No, I don't want that California Park (or California Land, or Adventure Land). I want the park with Mickey Mouse. Not the one with all the fast rides (or I want the park for the little kids. No fast rides.)"
I still hear CM's explaining that DCA is "the park with all the fast rides, for teenagers." Dang!! I hated hearing that!! SO NOT!! SO WRONG!! Stupid CM. Have you NEVER been inside DCA!!!!! I even overheard a CM vacation planner telling a guest, when the guest asked, "Which is the better park?", he said, "Oh, Disneyland is better. I don't like Calif Adventure." When he finished with the guest I asked him, "Did you REALLY tell the guest that you didn't like DCA, that Disneyland is better?" What a salesman!! Nice kid, still a VP, but I haven't heard him say that again. I mean, why don't you just tell them that Mickey isn't real, we don't get paid very well, and we don't get treated very nicely by managment!!!! Ruin the whole picture, why don't you!!!

Perhaps she recently saw National Lampoon's Vacation and mistook it for a documentary?

Could have been a brain fart. Happens to me on the bus at times. You get going and then have information overload. You should hear some of the cranbiz bloopers.

You should hear some of the cranbiz bloopers. How do you know it's a bad day with me? The cheetahs weigh up to 5000 lbs, charge 35 mph and are poached for their horn.
You make enough rounds in a Safari truck and get tired, you'd be amazed at the stuff we can come up with.

Disney would have said wtf? and continued on with cutting edge animatronic pirates. Maybe he'll move on to ninjas. As long as he keeps the Pirates and Ninjas far away from each other.

Then if they comment or you realize you goofed you just say "Oops, we're not still on the Jungle Cruise, ..... , OK, where did the boat go?"

wierd thing is, they did approch Disney for that movie, and Disney basicly said hell no after reading the script. I think they finally got to use what was
magic mountain for the inside shots and the outside park shots were all cgi mattes.

Another major point that Disney had in refusing was that Disneyland doesn't close for two weeks a year like Wally World does in the movie...
And yes, the inside-the-park scenes were from Magic Mountain.
(And the movie pre-dates CGI... They were traditional matte paintings)
