What is wrong with some of these guests??? Are they intentionally trying to be jerks, or are they just plain stupid? :x Here's a converstation I just had today:

Guy: Hello, there churro lady.
Me: Hello.
Guy: So you sell churros?
Me: Yep.
Guy: Are you going to be doing this for a while? Is this going to be a career for you? Selling churros your whole life?
Me: No, I have plans.

What the hell! What nerve! I should have asked him if he planned on being a tub of lard for the rest of his life!

No, I don't want to sell churros for the rest of my life. I'm one class away from receiving my A.A. After that I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do.

But what if I was a single mom trying to support myself and my kid while working two low paying jobs? A comment like that would have been extremely rude and hurtful.

Maybe I'm overreacting. But that guy really pissed me off. I hope he stops saying things like that to people.

Heh...a career can change. But being an asshole will stick with that guy for a lifetime.

Reminds me of this annoying girl that was intentionaly bugging the heck out me when I was cleaning a wagon a few days ago. After she was done she laughed and said "I love annoying you ODV people". I slipped my radio off my belt and said "Really? I love calling security to escort people out of the park. Now that you've had your fun I think it's my turn". Never saw a person leave so quickly in my life...and the look she had when she saw me pull the radio. Hah...priceless.

LOL! It sounded like she might have been a cast member or at least very familiar with Disneyland. Normal guests wouldn't call vendors "ODV."

hehehe...we used to screw with jr. high aged people who thought they were screwing with us by threatening to have security take them away, photographing them and banning their entire school from the park before having to call their parents in to pick them up...it usually worked. I would usually relate how my high school was banned from D/L for grad nights (true story) because of some dopes caught throwing firecrackers inside the old Monsanto ride and the rest of us were still plotting revenge...that part usually made an impression...

At least there are the occaisional jerks who can be jerked right back to reality...

That's the good thing about being in attractions. If people f**ked with us, we'd just kick 'em off the ride - so basically they'd stand in line for a long time for nothing.

Of course, we're not supposed to kick people off of rides (unless they're using foul language or there's some real altercation or something...

And for the clever ones that would demand to speak to "the supervisor," even if the supervisor eventually let the guest ride, at least the guest would have to wait around for a long, long time until the supervisor arrived. So that'd waste more of their time and you'd still have a measure of revenge.

My response to that jerk would have been something like, "Some people actually have to work their way through college. Not everyone has Mommy and Daddy hold their hand through life..."
