You're crazy or cursed - is that better or worse than being a pirate? Of course, there's no rum!

Well, while not egyptian, there were the Pirates of the Barbary Coast.
The Barbary Coast was the term used by Europeans from the 16th until the 19th century to refer to the middle and western coastal regions of North Africa, what is now Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya.

Ah, but the pyramids were along the Nile delta region...
I suppose there could be river pirates... Slightly more difficult to make a get-away.
Is the ROTM that walk through attraction where freaking scary tall Anubis statues grab at you and scare "the willies" out of you?

There was a walk-through Mummy attraction at USH about 3 years ago... Maybe it was temporary.

I don't know about Universal Studios Hollywood, I'm talking about Universal Studios Florida.

There is now a Mummy coaster at both Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood. Both are highly themed indoor coaster attractions (although ours in Florida is better! :D:). The walk through attraction you're referring to I think was a behind the scenes look at sets and props from the Mummy movies and did contain some themed characters who interacted with you. We had a smaller version here in Florida for awhile.

I can confirm the Walk Thru Mummy Attraction at Universal Hollywood.
It was a maze you had to walk through with all sorts of critters jumping out at you....one scared me so bad I nearly shoved the poor actor back! There were lots of props from the movie in the queue also.

Sounds a lot like the Indiana Jones attraction.

Probably. But I think the hurricanes even both coasts out.

But earthquakes are a ride in themselves! Not in China, that's so sad, what's happening right now...

Owner of the world's best single rider line! The new TSMM one stunk Saturday, it was as long as the main queue.

Thinking of the original posting on this thread made me remember when I was a conductor on the Calico Railroad, when the Train Bandits go through, some kids would refer to them as Cowboys. That would cause the Bandits to reply, "We're not cowboys, we're bandits!" :D:
Referring to the earthquake in China, at least they are accepting aid from everywhere; in the aftermath of the typhoon in Myanmar, the government is so paranoid about receiving foreign aid they either are refusing to accept it, or are confiscating any that comes in. That is sick!!!!

What in your costume defines you as a pirate? I need to know. Do you wear a bandanna or an eyepatch? Last time I checked, just wearing a crown does not make me a princess. Or does it??

It's the Immamah, or ethnic hat, or furban, or red thingie, or whatever else you wanna call it.
The closest thing ROTM has to rum is beans. Tons of magical fruit.

Those idiots who think you're pirates need the stilt walkers to sneak up behind 'em and scare their pants off. I had one pull that on me once; had no idea he was behind me, turned, and about had a heart attack because he was bent down and his face was right there! My sadistic husband thought it was a riot to see me scream and jump 20 feet. No mistaking those guys for pirates.
