Can we say jackass? Today while I was at Merge Point, I had a fellow cast member whose name I will keep disclosed (and if you read this you know who you are  ), has come up to that position and told me that he was going to pull a guest out of line to have security talk with him. when my friend came up to me, he had two security guards with him.
As I was merging the lines, my friend politly pulls the guest aside and asks him to explain why he was pulled out of line and to explain what he did. And of course the guest plays dumb, but when he was confronted about his behavior, he goes off on my friend and the security guard. not only is he being ridiculous, he is ignoring his little daughter who is crying and asking him to stop, so the guest blames that on my friend, and he says that it is the guest that is causing his daughter to cry. The gueat then threatens my friend, and after that, he was escorted off the ride and what happend after that i do not know.
I am just hoping that the guest knows that not only did he ruin the day for him and his daughter, he made himself look like a complete jackass in front of other guests. As he was being escorted off the attraction, other guests were laughing at him. And in which case, I was laughing to. Because, I at least have the decency to wait for my fastpass time and to be patient. All of this happend because the guest got mad because he wasn't let in on time.
My frind is doing fine, he has alot of people that got his back.

If you got a story to share about psycho guests, please share them. I love to hear them.

If this is the story that I heard today, this guest came to the attraction five minutes early and the validation person told him that he had to come back in five minutes. The attraction was EXTREMELY busy and fastpass was backed up. The guy got really angry and abusive. When it finally was his time he had to wait one minute because the cast member was doing a height check or something so he got abusive again saying that the cast member had made him 45 seconds late for his fastpass. Threats were made on the cast members life over fastpass. It was just a really bad situation.

WOW  And he had a kid with him? Poor kid... I feel sorry for her for having to grow up with a dad like that.

I'm doing crowd control for mansion (I know what I said). A guest comes up to me with her FP. It's for 8:50. It was 8:47. Here's the conversation:

"You still have just a few minutes."
"You're gonna make me wait 3 stupid minutes?"
"Yes."
"That's so bleeping retarded."
"Yes. But your FP says 8:50 not 8:47."

My mommy taught me that patience is a virtue. What did we learn from this kids?

Love the FP not reading 8:47 PM... now what I Still can't get over is the fact that the retards will sit there and wait for half an hour. But the sure fire way to shut them up if they start threating you is to tell them, "go ahead, hit me... but If you do, My ENTIRE colledge Education will be on your dime." I then proceded to tell this woman that Archetecural Engineering was NOT a CHEAP Major. But it worked, and I was kind of pleased.

Oi, this is the reason why I never use Fastpass...too much violence. Plus who cares if you have to wait a little while longer? Stand-by is just...oh I don't know, simpler than getting a ticket, and coming back at a designated time (it probably helps if you can manage your time, which I have no idea how to, same with direction).

Fastpass is lame..sorry. I feel bad for all you guys that have to put up with tardbags that go "Let me in!" They've waited this long, whats another 3 minutes? Go shove their faces into some food or something...that'll shut em up...

Down with Fastpass Tardbag Guests!

I love the guests who have just waited an hour to ride Indy hour and a half to ride splash and they then have the nerve to explode at me because I tell them they have to wait for the next train which will be here in 7 minutes.....It amazes me how people react over the most assinine things...But if we didn't have these same jackasses just think how quiet and peaceful our job would be.....
What would we have to bitch about in the break room???????? :?

Oooh crap. Don't even get me started on FastPass at Auto. Probably one of the easiest jobs in the PARK, standing at the FP machine right across the way from the main enterance, there you had all the time in the world to bs with cute chicks (and guys if you were like that...err, if you happen to be a girl too, I guess, but even girls can bs with cute girls, I digress...) I love that position, I dont know if its still there, as I quit mid 2001. However the WORST GOD*AMN position was in up in the Auto bleachers where you mixed stanby with FP. YIKES. Talk about waiting for trouble. I had to lock the FP area sometimes and walk away to get a clear head. Now, as a Military Police officer in Germany, I'd simple have given the arrogant guest a wicked-quick CHOP to his throat, then wrapped his neck in the loose change and push him over the side, tossing his daughter after him so she can join her assisted-suicidal father. ...don't worry, the daughter was mean too :D

Arrgh.

erg... fastpass = evil

when they were a seperate business unit I constantly got scheduled FP shifts (because I learned fastpass at bugs, where we never use it) I ended up being put at merge for soarin', which has been equated to double loading at pirates, with NO training whatsoever... good times.

oh, I'm getting off topic... um bad guests...

I was constantly getting interrupted mid tour at jungle because I never did the backside of water joke. ok, I did it twice during my tenure the second time resulted in the skipper passing me at the falls losing track of her speil and saying to the guests "he never does that joke"

NOOOOOoo I'm losing track of the topic again!!!

When I’m stuck at a certain location ( Attraction ) for a long period of time, and guests and castmembers are just getting on my last nerve I don’t let it out, I just hold it in. It begins to build up inside of me and slowly breaks me down. ( This happened to me in the past when someone higher up thought it was a good idea to put FP in it’s own department. I didn’t mind it at first, but when we had shortage of CM’s and Leads it got unbearable! Working 6 – 7 days a week sometimes opening to closing ) Long story short, one of these days a guest is going to get on my last nerve and I’m going to just snap. The other day a guest was pissed off because of “not paying attention” didn’t know that he didn’t have a valid FP. I saw him throw them on the floor. I asked him if he could pick them up and throw them away since he was 5 feet from the trash can. He just kept yelling to his family and his wife was being kind and trying to calm him down and telling him that he should throw them away in the trash like I had asked. Anywho. . .a little later he gets into the stand-by line and passes me. He throws the tickets he picked up on top of the trash can and was all “Throw this away for me! Thanks” I just looked at him and I looked over to the CM next to me and I was like “What a dick!” and he over heard me and gave me the dirtest look. I didn’t care. Just why are guests so horrible!? I mean that’s not bad as I have had it. Every year at HMH I always get a guest who is upset because they have to wait for their FP time. I didn't say that they could come in early. They always say “You F***ing Faggot” This year I just straight out told the guest. “If you’re trying to hurt me, that didn’t work.” Other guests just laughed at it, and commented on what an A**hole he was. =c) I always tell them, look on the back of your ticket. Tells you right there. Cannot accept early arrivals. Grrr. . .you’re supposed to come to this park and have fun, not to be a dick.

I think they should install a machine at the entrance that you can stick the FastPass in to see if the time is valid yet. If it is, it will spit it back out and you can proceed. If it isn't, the FastPass will be returned shredded up, and you can try the process again.

Granted it would piss a lot of guests off at first, but they wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Just tell them "Oh, gosh! I'm really sorry! See, your pass is one of the new ones that is on Central Standard Time so your 2:18pm pass won't be usable until 4:18pm. Sorry!" I know it's actually the other way around, but what guest has brains enough to figure that out?

I really like Polar's idea of a machine that shreads the tickes when a guest comes in early. And have a digital clock with a digital second hand that has it down to the tenth of a second, or something like that. I don't understand the guests they waited as long as they did, but that last few mins they are so impatient.

You mean your guests actually read those things?
