Subject: Well it's that time of year again

Yes that time of year where people go on vacation and so do their
brains. Spring break whoohoo. I was a guest at our lovely Disneyland
when I was asked one of the famous stupid questions. Yes once a cast
member, always a cast member. Blah, blah, blah. Anyway, a guest came
up to me and asked how to get to the haunted house. Mind you, I am
standing in front of the Haunted MANSION, thank you. I say," The
Haunted Mansion is right behind me. It's a great attraction. One of
my favorites." Now this idiot proceeds to argue with me and say that
the family doesn't want to go in a mansion they want a haunted house.
I was about ready to smack this guy upside the back of his head but I
kept my cool. I said,"Well, the only thing here at Disneyland is the
Haunted Mansion and trust me it's what you're looking for." So this
moron goes over to the cast member at the front gate and says,"Excuse
me is this a haunted house?" The cast member says this is the Haunted
Mansion. The dumbass goes back to his family and says,"I guess we are
in the wrong place. There's no haunted house here." Then they walked
away. How's that for a fun time at the place where dreams come true
and guests come in all forms of lowered I.Q.'s?

I had a stupid guest question just the other day and immediately thought of posting it here! :D:

Anyway, I was off at Pooh's Corner so I was walking towards the CC fence to get my bag and this guest stops me.

Guest: If Winnie the Pooh is coming out, is this where *she* comes out from? ::Points to the CC fence entrance::

Me: Yes it is

Guest: Will that be soon?

Well I was about to say probably in a couple of minutes when I turn back towards him and see none other than Pooh at his Hunny pot station taking pictures and whatnot.

Me: Well actually Winnie the Pooh is already out here, right over there :I point at Winnie::

Guest (with confused look) Oh. Are Winnie the Pooh and Pooh Bear the same character?

Me: Yes, Pooh Bear is just a nickname... ::roll::..and walked away

What I really wanted to say was

Me: No, Pooh Bear is just a decoy to see how many shmucks we can get to stand in a line for over several hours! You were SO clever in figuring it out that you get a personal appearance by Winnie the Pooh HIMSELF! ;)

I wonder if people know that there is a site devoted to their stupid questions?? If they find out, they will change their ways, muahahaha!!!

This guy at River Belle yesterday refused to use a normal spoon to eat his clam chowder. He waited there and heckled us for about 10 minutes, complaining about how he needed A SOUP SPOON to eat his soup and we were rude for not having soup spoons ready for him. Phew!! He was a pill!! I'm glad i'm making the transition to Entertainment on April 2!!

Yup, am venting & politically treading. Sorry if I've overstepped.

Those people are just plain evil. Cast members are not slaves, nor are they automatons who are just meant to take every piece of crap hurled in their direction by unkind and unthinking creeps who feel that the price of a ticket or annual pass allows them to do whatever they please. The sort of person who would take something off of an independant website and use it at City Hall as evidence against CM's is the sort of person who would gladly have been an informer in the old Soviet Union or Nazi Germany. That is completely uncalled for. People need a way and place to vent their frustrations of having to deal with morons on a daily basis. If there was no mechanism for venting can you imagine how obnoxious the cast members could concievably become?

BTW, those Pooh and Mansion stories are priceless. Don't mind me while I'm ranting...I still get upset with people who think that CM's should be under some sort of mind control 24/7.

I would hope that City Hall tells them that the site is not affiliated with Disney, and that we access it on our own time, so they can't do a thing about it. Technically, they can't in fact.

actually. i heard that our group on myspace was read by some guests. apparently they printed out copies and went and complained to city hall. thats crap! Wow that's just sad. As long as CMs are off the clock, not disclosing any confidential information, or slandering the company they can post and talk about their job to whomever they please.

These are the same type of people that complain about this site. If these people had their way, none of us would be allowed to have opinions on anything the company does. We would go into work, do our jobs, and then cease to exist until our next shift. Per them, anyone who doesn't love working for Disney 110% of the time should be fired. It's almost sickening, but true...just do some digging to find some threads about this site on some of the mainstream Disney message boards and you'll find a disturbing amount of people who think this way.

And if these people have such a strong desire to "uphold the magic" as they no doubt think they are doing, then why the heck don't they get a job at the park? If they think they can do better then why don't they? Just once I'd like one of them to step up to the plate and be the Anamatronic CM they think we all should be. But they won't, because what they ask is impossible...and deep down they know it.

Yeah but not only are we cast memebers but were also americans so we are protected by the first amendement. Which should be taken away from some guest when they open thier mouths and spew some nonsense.

You know the guests that have bad experiences at Disney Parks (as much as we try to give them a Magical day ;) ) probably go and tell everyone they can about the bad time they had! So I think what is fair is fair-as people we should be able to talk about the bad days we had. And it is way better to talk about it on here than talking to another cast member on the job where you might offend other guests that can hear you or waste your work time. What we do on our own time is just that-our own time. And I know I feel better when I let off steam here because you all understand-if I tell my parents they just tell me to go find another job.
