A couple of days ago while I was working out in Tomorrowland we had to have an alpha unit come out thanks to someone deciding they were more special than anyone else.
These guy (no idea on the age) decided that he no longer wanted to wait in the standby line for Space Mountain. So being as bright as he is, he decided to jump from standy by to FastPass. Well he must have forgot that the metal railing was there becuase he got caught on it and ended up laying on the ground bleeding out from his head. Wish I coulda taken kids by to see this and say "See this is why you don't try to jump the queue." Space ended up going 101 for about an hour so they could clean up all of the blood that this guy spilled.
I must say I am happy I am in merchandise, I do not know how you guys in Operations can deal with these people. The ones I deal with at Buzz Imaging are enough to drive me crazy when they ask me about the ride when it goes 101. Thank god it is closed right now. :)

I remember that. I'm glad I worked buzz complex, however they just had to wait until I finished my program to close down buzz. So sad, I miss the complex though. :(

People do that at any theme park/queue. They get tired of waiting, so they decide to jump line. If they trip and get hurt, they deserve it!

Then they get to the merge point cast member and that cast member stops both lines and escorts them out. (that's if they don't get hurt). Happens at mansion all the time during holiday. I was at gate and a guest asked me how I could trust letting guest who claimed to have family or whatever up the fastpass line. I said simply "If they are lying and get escorted out I'll see them again mommentarily."

At Soarin' (WDW), there was a time when people were constantly jumping over the wall to get into the Fastpass line. Or they would go through a gate.
We usually distributed our fastpasses by noon or one. So, the person at Fastpass Distribution was then used to walk up and down our old singles line and watch for anyone who might try to jump over. If they did, we could escort them back to the beginning of the line.
Sadly, I never saw anyone doing it while I was there.

When I confronted him, he pointed to a group and said, "I'm with them."
So I looked directly at the group and asked them if they knew him. Surprise, surprise, they did not. So I told the guy to get out of line.
"Oh no, I'm with a group down the line."
Okay, moron, you already lied to me once. I'm not falling for this crap. He was quickly gone from that line.

Ok, I'm going to be a dork. Who are you? Cause I know I talked to some of the merch cast members and they were awesome, some of the old people were a little anti social, but everyone was awesome. I was the opinionated redhead in attractions, really the only readhead in buzz complex, but I also sported the weezer glasses if that helps.

I am Sharon. I just got here in December and started working Buzz like the 19th or so. Most of the ops people I have talked to are pretty cool.

One of my (many) pet peeves is when parents let their kids swing on the queue line ropes. In Exposition Hall one night, a kid was swinging on the ropes and not less than four different CMs asked him to stop. He kept swinging though, and then eventually the rope broke and the silly kid landed right on his butt. Started crying big alligator tears while the mother muttered about shoddy ropes not being strong enough. Well, ma'am, if your fat kid had listened when we said "don't swing on the ropes" he wouldn't have fallen. Have a magical day.

I REALLY hate when kids don't listen about the ropes. Also, I hate when people don't pay attention to the 10-ton floats driving in front of them and feel that they need to cross the street NOW- instead of waiting or going to a spot where they CAN cross.

That would require walking, which many of the fat inhabiters of Disney Resorts cannot handle.

I had a guest argue with me for 10 minutes during the first show stop of PoD at the photo supply by the CFA lane. First he argued that there were cross overs during THIS parade (there are not I told him I have worked THIS parade since May when it started) and also when we have cross overs during OTHER parades, this isn't a crossing point ANYWAY. In the time he argued with me he could have walked up to the hub and crossed.

Back in December, I was waiting for the SADCT parade on MSUSA. You hear the music in the background, since the parade has already started, and people wait until they see the first float to decide that they need to cross the street.

During the busy chirstmas season, I was working in front of buzz lightyear at fastpass return. The line was long, and instead of going to the back of the line, a lady decided to drop the chains and enter. I told her not to take down the chains, her response was "well a lady over there did it," my response, "just because someone else did it, doesn't make it right or safe."

Actually (this is a good one) I had something happen during a Spectro I was working that involved an ECV. I was on the Emporium side of Fire House (right in front of Emporium/Barber Shop) when this family decides that they REALLY need to cross. Well, while I'm telling them that they CAN'T cross here, on the other side a man in an ECV decides that he wants to cross too! Now this is all going on while the floats are still moving!! The CM on the other side races over to him, because where exactly is he supposed to go? For those who don't know what this area looks like, the one side by the Fire House is flat area in front (which is where he was). But on my side (the Barber Shop side), it is all curb, with only 1 incline where people were already sitting (for the parade). So, where did he want to go exactly? That was just one of my crazy PAC experiences.

Unfortuantely, some people dont even know about fastpass. Many people I get in line with think that the other line is simply an alternative standby line, like the lines at Pirates. I stopped about 6 people from switching lines becuse they thought that it was just a shorter line.

We get the same thing at Universal with our Gate A lines. The number of line jumpers we catch in Gate A is rediculious, not to mention everyone who follows legitimate Gate A guests.
