I think that the biggest guest trick is to complain about everything and anything to get free stuff. I sometimes wonder that these types of Complaining Guests are really not that stupid at all. They probably already wondered that Disney will give them a gift certificate almost everytime they complain.

oh yes, while working for hotels, i have a guest that i know on sight, by name. i still remember his address, his wifes name and the names of his horribly, rude, foulmouthed, spoiled little bags of sh*t he calls his children. this man (who i will call PM) would show up every so often, refuse to give a c.c number, then be furious with us because we would not let him make free long distance phone calls, charge items back to his room, give him free meals or special backstage tours. he would then say, well so and so is a personal friend of mine, and they told me they would give me the cast member rate because you people were so horrible to me last time. well, he would alwys give out the managers name as so an so...well, not only would i know we would not reward a go guest with a personal cast member rate, he would insist that we call them at their home, even at midnight!which we would not do, he would then have lengthy talks about his behavior with the mod, thank god for debbie, she never put up with his abuse, nor would she allow him to spew it forth on us. this man would scream curse and lie to anyone who crossed his path when we would not give into his ridicoulous (sp) demands. the last time i saw this creep, i told him we were sold out. we weren't. he said when are you available and i said " mr. M, for you we are always sold out. you are obviously so unhappy with every visit i don't know why you bother to come back because we are no longer comping you for the honor of being abused by you. good day sir." my boss was cheering! and she was such a disney hardliner that i thought i was for sure fired. god it felt good, there were soooooooooo many times i called security on that creep because he'd get verbally abusive. he hated talking to me because i would ALWAYS call him on his behavior. when he first started coming he would get his whole trip comped, then future visits, and every time he would c`ause HUGE problems for cast and guests alike.towards the end, you could tell he was puzzled why it wasn't working anymore. like" well is a little lying and hatefullness is good then a whole lot should get me the world! it's been years since i have seen him, and i still have a burning ball of hate for him. i don't even feel this vindictive against my ex-husband! now that is sayin something!

Here's one for you Vic since you work at Strollers. One time at DL Strollers I had a guest demand to be compensated for her bad experience with her ECV. She specifically stated that "a stuffed Tigger will do fine."

so. i wasn't there for this, but i heard that a guest broke their dentures biting into an ice cream novelty, and then demanded that the resort do something about it.
this was a few days ago on the parade route.
hurrah.

Dont even get me started with the ECV riders. They think that they are VIP and complain when an ECV breaksdown and wonder why it took me so long to replace it. I end up telling them that other Guests get in the way. But NOOOO they dont care and end up telling me that the want a full refund for waiting that long for the replacement. jeez!
Have a Magical Disney Day!

During the time I worked at Strollers we comped so much stuff because of stupid ECV guests. Vic I'm sure you and I could go on and on and on about stupid ECV guests. Working at Strollers would be so much easier if we didn't rent ECVs, or at least imposed restrictions on who can rent them.
We had a guest complain a while back that we did not notify them that they had left their lights on in the parking structure and that our CM's had gone home for the night and we had no way to give them a jump! They wanted Rooms at one of the hotels! Could you imagine... Would the owner of a white honda accord lic no. bla bla bla report to the M&F structure? You left your lights on!
That would make eveyones day magical!

DLR imposes restrictions? WDW probably stopped that a while ago because of the complaints, we give em to anyone as long as you have the $$$, the price is $40. What really sux is when City Hall calls us to give our back ups to the guests who ranted and did not budge leaving until they got one. Soo yeah, we can go on and on. I guess thats good for another post.

I don't know what the percentage of rental cars are in DL, but as someone previously posted about rental cars at WDW, there are alot of them! Most people who rent cars have no idea what the license plate # is. They are lucky to remember what color the car is, and maybe what KIND of car it is. But, that information is usually written on the key ring of the key(s) you are given. :p: But would the guest put two and two together and figure that out. ;)

Oh sure, so NO Disney vans are making their rounds in the parking lots/structures? I find that hard to believe that they could not flag down a Cast Member if they had car trouble.
And even if for some crazy reason they really couldn't find a CM, um....there's something called AAA?

I don't know if this is a rumor or not - but I heard that we keep records of complaints. Certain people obviously try to work the system, and CMs in city hall can tell if they have already been compensated at their hotel etc...

I believe that WDW uses a system to keep track of guest complaints and what resolution there was. When I was in guest services at the reservation center (I still work there) there was a system that did this. I am sure the same system if not a more updated system keeps track of guest complaints.

After making several Google searches I found no such website, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if an email list serve or a bulletin board on some website whose name I won't mention had that type of discussion.
